My brother and I contracted Kathy Stanbrough of Abbott Realty when we made the decision to sell the acreage of our parents' farm. We couldn't have made a better choice. Because we both lived out of the area, we needed to have someone that we could trust to get us the best deal possible. She did that and more. We ran into some problems, as happens in most real estate deals, and she handled them quickly and professionally. In the end, both we and the buyers were satisfied with the outcome. I highly recommend Kathy and her staff at Abbott Realty if you are considering buying or selling your home. Last year in the Spring I desperatley needed to sell my home, an acreage in rural Hampton, due to health issues. I listed it with Abbott Realty and Kathy and her staff went to work using every tool at their disposal to make it happen. Then, with the help of an internet add which they had engineered, they were able to find a buyer by September. Kathy spent hours completing the paper work to enable my closing at the end of September. I was not able to attend but everything went wmoothly! The buyer was pleased and Kathy deposited my check in the bank! That's not all, she personally moved some items that still remained at my property and put them in her storage for me so that the new buyer could take possession. Kathy and her staff truly go "above and beyond'!

My family worked with Kathy and Chuck early this year to sell my dad's house. We listed thehouse in December (not the best time of year in Iowa). However, by tht eend of March we had an offer and by the end of May all was done. They took care of everything! Being the executor of my dad's estere there was a lot of paperwork to complete.
